To be honest, this bed and breakfast surpassed any four-star hotel we’ve stayed at in England. "When we booked tge book in time was not vidable to us and we were suprised it was 4pm as this felt a little late. Paul was loveley and made us feel very welcome. The room was large but felt a little dated but for the price was more than acceptable. We stayed 1 night in the family room and my girls enjoyed the stay. I went for Breakfast which was self serve and a basic continental but you also have the facilities to make your own should you desire. Lots of contractors and Builders use this hotel...

"Funny little place. Rooms upstairs in a pub but dont let that put you off as pub is only open 3-8pm. Kitchen wasnt doing breakfast which would have been handy to know before i turned up. Very convenient for the city, with free off street parking which is a rarity in york. Room was clean and comfy. Wpuld stay again for the price. "

"After reading some of the negative reviews we were very pleasantly surprised. Staff were helpful and attentive and actually went above and beyond. Overall the property is a little dated and and in one of our rooms the tv wasn't working properly and in another the the lightbulbs needed replacing but it's clean, the beds are comfy and it's close to town. Would definitely stay here again."
