"The hotel is located on the main road into Windermere and has its own parking. Check in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. I was a little disappointed as I didn’t realise that access to the pool with kids is only between 9am - 1pm so we had to move our plans around and take the kids the following morning. "For the price we paid for two adults and two children for a night's stay the accommodation was perfect. Arrived early and our room was already ready for us, staff really good, entertainment in main bar good. Would definitely recommend hotel to anyone and as we've been before would definitely return ourselves."

"Love the hotel room the four poster bed with the lake view. Great location, very close to the shopping area, cafes, bars, restaurants & the lake. Breakfast need to improve, very standard, not many options. We extended our stay, but we were little bit disappointed how the house keeping tidy up our bed. Should be the same quality as we checked in, not very tidy as supposed to be, specially with the room we paid."

"A lovely hotel just what I wanted to relax a little, staff were friendly, food was great maybe a little expensive but what I had I enjoyed. Breakfast was buffet style. Lovely location for a walk around the lake of grasmere and rydal water and also the rydal caves. Close to dove cottage and church Wordsworth connection. Would recommend to stay and hopefully I’ll be back myself 😃"

"Friendly, attentive staff. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable room, with complementary gin. Enjoyed spending time in the spa. Used our Expedia reward in the bar, relaxing in front of the fire. A great birthday getaway. Just a shame that they feel the need to charge for parking. Would certainly recommend Rothay Garden and hope to return in the future."

"We had a lovely stay at the Whitewater hotel. All the staff were very friendly. We stayed for 1 night with our 3 month old baby and was given a really spacious room on the ground floor with a travel cot. We did stay for dinner at the hotel. The starter was a bit disappointing and when the waiter asked why we hadn't finished it he took it off the bill. The lamb and the steak was lovely. Breakfast was also nice.
