"This little guesthouse is nestled away down an unassuming backstreet next to an upmarket Vegan restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic gent who showed us to our room. "The place is kind of charming because it’s all made of bamboo. However, the view of our bungalow was on the sewer so we didnt spend much time on the balcony. Also, the shower drain was blocked. You know how fun that can be!! Other then that, bed is huge and comfy and staff is helpful."

"Anh and the ninh binh palm homestay provided us with one of our most memorable stays in vietnam. Anh is fluent in english and more than willing to provide assistance in booking further transport or suggesting activities in the surrounding areas. "The Serene family were just gorgeous. They spoke good English and would help you any way they could. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. My ONE piece of advice would be: if you have a bungalow next to the breakfast area , then ask to be moved somewhere quieter. "

"What an awesome stay. We had issues with our prior stay in Tam Coc, had to book last minute. Was greeted by the family. She checked us into our private rooms. Super nice and welcoming. "We had a wonderful time at this homestay. Our hosts were fantastic and made us feel right at home. The meals were very good and there was so much food! Scott even suggested some rainy weather activities which were fantastic! Check out the Sao So King Herbal Bath if you get the chance! We would definitely recommend this stay!"

"The family that owns this place is very nice and friendly. It was relaxing to stay there. Convenient and inexpensive motorbike (scooter) and bicycle rentals. Breakfast that was included in the price every morning was either tea or coffee, a smoothie, 2 eggs, a pancake, a baguette with butter and a small piece of cheese, and some fruit, which was a great way to start your day. 👍😊"

"We had an incredible stay at JM Marvel in Hanoi! The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I had mentioned in passing that my partner was feeling unwell and checked in with us throughout if she needed anything—such a thoughtful touch. Ny who was our main contact point was amazing. He was super communicative and went out of his way to help us explore the city, giving us great recommendations and even helping us book a vehicle to get to the airport. It made everything so much easier and stress-free. I wish I remembered everyone's names.. but Ny's male colleague with the glasses was also a very helpful person. I also appreciated the kind young women in the morning who were attentive and asking us if we needed anything on the way out of the hotel in the morning. This level of care and attention to detail is what sets JM Marvel apart. I can't say enough, highly recommend staying here if you want exceptional service in Hanoi! My partner and I can't really imagine staying anywhere else here."

Lovely time in old town Hanoi

"After a smooth airport pick up arranged by Meritel, we were greeted with tea and cold towels in the beautiful French Colonial boutique hotel in the heart of old town Hanoi. Judy and Katy at the front desk were always helpful, arranging tours, making excellent dining and shopping suggestions and basically seeing to all our needs. William at the rooftop bar and Emma in the restaurant were also attentive and informative. The room faced the busy street but was very quiet. Bit cold for a rooftop swim but we tried anyway, Canadians, eh.😉"
