"This was our second time staying at the Lopesan, and our fourth trip to Punta Cana overall—and once again, it did not disappoint. We visited during U.S. Spring Break with our 7-year-old son and had a fantastic experience. While there are kids at the resort, it never feels overrun the way some family-friendly resorts can. The atmosphere strikes a great balance—relaxed and family-appropriate without feeling chaotic or overly kid-centric. The lower pool was perfect for our son and other kids around the 6–10 age range. It felt safe, fun, and just the right amount of lively. The food was a highlight for us. We enjoyed both the à la carte restaurants and the buffet—everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. We’ve seen some negative reviews about the food and honestly don’t understand them. Our best guess is that some guests might be used to heavily salted or super sweet dishes. Like many Latin American countries, the food here is a little lighter on salt and sugar—which we really appreciated. The staff were warm and accommodating across the board. Whether at the restaurants, pool, or front desk, we consistently had positive experiences. Our only small complaint was the timing of the evening shows—they start quite late, which makes it difficult to enjoy them as a family with young kids. We would have loved for there to be an earlier family-friendly option. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Lopesan continues to be a favorite for us in D.R"

"It was our first trip to Punta Cana. We typically go to Aruba. We stayed on the Club side and Darrel, our butler, made our vacation 10 stars out of 5. Small inconveniences were fixed like a magic. He decorated our room for my birthday and made sure to provide us with all requested reservations and made sure our stay was memorable and just fantastic. Overall, every staff member was super nice, but especially Marysol, Jennifer, Camila, Lidiaann and July. Excellent dining and entertainment, beautiful beach and conveniently located pool. I would recommend Isabella for Spa services. Thank you Majestic Colonial, we’ll be back!"

"Wonderful stay. We stayed in the Excellence room with the deck and private pool and we loved it. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was very good and you can eat at any time you like. Beach was lovely and several pools to choose from. I would stay here again. "
