The resort may look impressive at first glance, but our experience was far from it. The room we booked — a two-queen junior suite—was unacceptable. The ceiling was leaking, there were cockroaches, and the entire room had a strong musty smell. Despite showing photos of these issues to the front desk staff, they refused to move us to a safer, cleaner room, claiming no rooms were available. It wasn’t until an Expedia representative intervened that, miraculously, a room suddenly became available. This resort might claim to be five-star, but the customer service we experienced was appallingly poor. Being told we had no choice but to stay in such conditions is completely unacceptable. We don’t want anyone else to go through what we did. Our vacation was ruined—we were stressed, felt unwell from the environment, and ended up checking out early, cutting short what should have been a seven-night stay.

My stay at Lopesan Bávaro Beach was truly excellent and beautiful! The resort’s atmosphere was serene, and it provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway with my family. My kid absolutely loved it, and seeing them happy made the experience even better. While the food was alright, I do believe there’s room for improvement in that area. However, this minor issue didn’t take away from the overall charm and quality of our stay. The resort itself, the friendly staff, and the stunning environment made it an unforgettable trip. I wholeheartedly give Lopesan Bávaro Beach 5 stars for an amazing experience, and I would gladly return in the future!

#1 You can’t make any reservation for dinner….the only option is the buffet. #2 The manager at the lobby was very rude and nasty. #3 The beach is not that great. #4 Don’t do any activities with the party boats…..terrible

Beautiful property on a calm part of Bávaro beach. Resort was well kept, room was exactly as mentioned. Only suggestion wifi cuts out by the end of the main pool and on the beach. Have stayed at many resorts in Punta Cana and had Wifi on the beach. But not a huge big deal. Would definitely come back!

I paid over 1,555.00 for this resort. I didn't have hot water during my stay. When I ask to get it fix, they never responded. I asked to compensated for my inconvenience, they told me, since it was booked through a third party,EXPEDIA is responsible for compensation. That resort is nice BUT the customer service is HORRIBLE..

Enjoyed steakhouse, hibachi, rooms were beautiful..sewage smell in some areas and what put a really poor taste in my mouth was the spa;$95 for a facial I could’ve done at home better.No steam, no washcloths, soap, scrub soap, foot poking for 20mins, wiped face with tissue, some type of serum and done…such a waste and would not compensate.
