"Our room, a junior suite was quite large and surgically clean. Bathroom was very modern, large and with great water pressure. Staff was great. My only caution would be to comment that this is not an air-conditioned hotel in the usual sense. There is a system which can be set to lower the temperature in the room slightly, but we found it ineffective. If you're not comfortable sleeping in a warm room, this hotel might best be considered only in the cooler months. "

"We really enjoyed our stay - located very close to the train station (where the airport bus also stops), and old town so super convenient. Very quiet despite being close to a road. Super friendly and helpful reception (providing maps of the city, Basel card, tips for getting around the city easily and onwards travel) and a very clean and comfortable stay for a good price. "Very good stay with very friendly and professional staff and great breakfast. Fantastic location in the historic center. We requested extra duvets as the 2 single ones given were not sufficient, especially in January which the staff gave us without a problem. There is only one liquid soap in the shower which you need to grab to wash hands. Didn’t see any recycling bins but maybe the system is different in Basel. Would return as it’s a great place to stay in this city. "

"Excellent hotel. Check in was unexpectedly helpful and friendly. Room was large and comfortable and clean. Breakfast is expensive but there are no options close to the hotel. Hotel is next to the #50 bus stop which goes directly to the airport and to the train station in Basel. Have fun!"
