"Check-in was super easy and all the staff were very friendly. The hotel was close to a lot of things to do and eat. Very walkable area and safe. The room itself was small but it seems like rooms in Japan are small in general. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. I would for sure stay there again. "

" First and most, the quality of attentiveness received from the staff is truly special. At check in you don’t have to be standing at front desk, you can sit down relaxing while the staff is helping you check in process. All staff members have most beautiful manners ( just way they bow is elegant and in perfection ). They also help you above and beyond. Any request such as getting more tea bags or opening my safe ( I locked by accident) was taken care of such speedy and very pleasant manner. Concierge helped me tremendously for an exceptional dinner reservation. ( family and friends of 7) at Karoku ( great yakiniku and classic Japanese style). The lobby smells always nice and beautiful flower arrangement. The room is spacious and very tastefully decorated. The bed is comfortable. It was a pleasure going to large baths for gusts ( called Spa ). The location Gion is great. You can go many places just walking. Very romantic walking down Gion street. The bar is cozy. The bartender was very attentive and I enjoyed chatting with him since I was alone from my family at that time. "
