This hotel is an excellent choice for hotel in Kyoto. Hotel is new and beautiful. Great room design with modern comfort. Customer service is superb. Area is within walking distance to temples and Gion district. Lots of traditional shoes and houses around. Shuttle bus to Kyoto station is a big plus. Love this hotel!

Wonderful ambience, aesthetic, excellent service, quiet and comfortable hotel with central patio and tea bar in lobby. Good location close to popular shrines and museums. Very busy but good breakfast. Small gym space suitable for 2-3 people. One single washing machine (mostly occupied). The service was excellent and staff very helpful.

This is my favourite hotel of all the hotels in which I have ever stayed. The room was excellent; the bed was comfortable; and the location was great. The entire staff was exceedingly friendly and service-oriented. The quiet alleys around the hotel are picturesque, and the location is ideal for short, early-morning walks to some temples and shrines that get crowded during the day. If I come back to Kyoto, I will be staying here.

The Higashiyama is a beautiful hotel located in a quiet part of city. It is walking distance to many restaurants, tourist sites and to city centre. The staff are gracious and room is so nice you almost don’t won’t to leave it :-)
