"Close to the Blaisdale concert hall"

"We heard from various sources (i.e., guidebooks, blogs) that spending a couple nights at the Royal Hawaiian was worth the money. We totally agree! The Royal Hawaiian has a old-school luxury vibe that is calm and relaxing. Despite it being situated in the middle of a major shopping center, the hotel seems to capture the beauty and beach vibe that you seek for a luxury vacation (cue the White Lotus theme song). Step a few feet out, and the hustle and bustle of the Sheraton hotel is right there. We were offered an upgrade to our room--a junior suite to fit my 80-year mother, my 9-year old kid, and us. The beds were nicely sized, there was plenty of space. The beach is just steps away from hotel, and is situated towards the end of Waikiki beach, which offers a sand bar where you can almost walk out 100 feet and still have water knee-high. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here--the staff was incredibly nice, the pools were fun and perfect for our kid (tip: go early in the morning), and the beach was exactly what we needed to start our vacay. "
