The room is clean, a bit dated. The staff is welcoming. Very convenient to Waikiki beach and all the surroundings. The self parking is frightening though. Need to go to the 6th floor as the lower are for valet, and it’s an extremely tight two way blind corner circles up to very tight parking spaces. Dangerous. And it’s $55/night for the privilege. The rest is fine.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa and found the experience to be pleasant overall, thanks to the excellent staff and service, as well as the prime, walkable location near great dining, shopping, and the beach. However, the cleanliness could use more attention to detail, and some parts of the property feel a bit dated, which slightly impacted the overall experience. While it’s a solid choice for its convenience and friendly atmosphere, a few upgrades and improvements could elevate the stay to match the expectations of a Hyatt Regency property.

We got the penthouse but many things were wrong with it. Property was old and dirty. Our penthouse floor and carpet was stained and dirty, king bed’s sheet had whole on it. There were bugs within the towels. The bath tub was stained and dirty. Doors, walls and furniture were beaten up and old looking. The view was gorgeous and location is great but inside was poorly maintained. The reception staff were polite, the one agent I called to discuss the situation 5:30 am (because I couldn’t sleep in the uncomfortable bed), was inexperienced, that could come off as rude. I tried to explain my frustration of the uncomfortable bed, etc, he would interrupt me and said ma’am ma’am I don’t have a manager onsite until 7 am, you. Need to call back at that time. He would not even let me complete my sentence. It’s a large resort and not being able to address your concern bc there is no awake manager on site says that the resort is not managed well in addition to being old and outdated. Expedia was gracious and helpful, they heard us, understood us, acted on the concern and resolved the issue by letting us check out the next day. The Expedia gentleman was helpful, not just stating politically right things. He intended to help and he did, he turned our experience around. Thanks to him and to Expedia

We had issues with plumbing, had to switch rooms and still had the same issues. There was some kind of miscommunication about maintenance coming in but customer service was great and was able to compensate us for the mishap. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I celebrated my birthday there and really enjoyed the accommodations. The staff was very hospitable and the rooms were very comfortable. We were on the 38th floor with both ocean and city views. There is a large balcony off of the room. The property is centrally located and parking is on-site. Shopping and dining are proximal to the property. Until next time.

It was ok, we had couple issues with the AC and had a leak(clogged )sink, which was taken care of quickly. The staff is great, but the rooms are just old. The bed was the most disappointing, felt like sleeping on plywood. However if you know Hawaii that is just how most properties (understandably) are, with its climate and location. With that , we did have a great time.

The room was poorly decorated.Lack of color, furniture scratched and peeling.Balcony railing unsafe, cement cracked and railing loose.Dangerous.I reported it to staff.Balcony sliding door off track and did not close properly.Had to have staff fix it. Breakfast expensive andnot good.No toast available and bacon burned.I would nnot recommend to friends or family.

Location is excellent, but it’s run down needs updating old furniture. Unwelcoming lobby area compared with other properties in its category. During my stay asked only once to clean room my bedsheets didnt get changed I know it’s fact. They just made the bed.
