"We enjoyed our 2 night break here. The room was small but good. Bed was quite small but comfortable. Heating was good and the room heated up quickly. One negative was that we could hear room 16 using their toilet and running taps. Not good thing to be woken upto in the middle of the night. Bathroom had some mould and a woodlouse. The view from room 15 is local residential area bins.... not fab but thankfully it was not noisy. Food was great, especially the breakfast. Friendly staff. Dinner menu...

"I am a solo traveler and wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday in Scotland. The staff at 100 Princes Street made me feel so special on my big day. The food, drinks, staff and atmosphere really make this hotel such a special place to stay. Highly recommend if you enjoy top-notch customer service, luxury and would enjoy a a direct view of Edinburgh Castle. I will definitely be back! "

"The location was beautiful, it’s right next to the palace. The apartment was so beautiful and well decorated. My children loved reading in the window seats. It was an excellent apartment with an excellent location. The communication was also really great. "Great property, great location. Great staff. Beautiful high ceilings. Very accommodating. The only criticism I have is that the people working the spa seemed clueless and uptight. The guy I was talking to about treatments appeared like he had never had a massage in his life. And as I was trying to get more information about treatments and providers everyone seemed to get more nervous and uptight. Very strange. Other than that had a great hotel experience."

"It's a beautiful property in the country with public bus access if you are willing to walk a mile to the bus stop. I considered it good exercise and a beautiful walk if its not raining. We had some issue with our room keys and had to have them reactivated every night when we returned from our excursions. The breakfast is very good but I'm not a big breakfast eater. I thought it was included in our stay but its not. I wish I'd skipped it all together when i checked out and realized it was 15...

"The Black Ivy was so cute! The restaurant is great and it’s nice to have breakfast in your hotel and the rooms are super clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only thing I would say is that the hot water for the shower was not very hot (to be fair I like it basically the temp of the surface of the sun) but it was above warm at best. I liked the tea and cookie set up and the room decor <3"
