"Location was awesome, we only were there 1 night. Would stay there again, especially if we were there longer. Nice selection of movies. Nice layout. Only negative was, I may not have read description correctly, 2 double beds and one larger. Beds were soft. Ceiling fan was out of balance and was noisy. Heater and fans were supplied. Coffee selection was awesome. "

"We had an amazing time with our family at the house. We had every thing we needed plus the most fantastic ocean views! Would definitely recommend! We had 9 adults and 1 child. It's a bit of a drive to swimming beaches and one of the bedrooms is only accessed by walking through another bedroom, but we would absolutely go again. The owners were nearby and very helpful too. "

"This is a 10 stay. The house is in a lush gardenic setting in a very quiet neighborhood. Christine was an excellent host and saw to our every need. The house was immaculately, clean with a beautiful upstairs balcony overlooking our lush yard. A wonderful place to have your morning cup of coffee. We stayed a few different places before reaching Christine‘s house, we were so pleased with her place that we canceled reservations elsewhere in order to stay at the lava house. "This is a clean, spacious property with a great view and attractive furnishings. Upon arrival we noticed a minor concern and Rauel immediately came and fixed it. Otherwise we had no issues and just enjoyed being in such a comfortable place. The trip to downtown Hilo is easy; the owners' recommendations that we followed were spot on. We would not hesitate to come again or recommend a stay to others."

We had some trouble getting in touch with the property manager related to a tripped circuit in two of the bedrooms but it didn't hamper our stay."

"We had a lovely stay! The garden is perfectly serene and secluded. Everything was clean. The outdoor shower is AMAZING. The check-in process was extremely easy, though we did have to reach out to the host to confirm the process. We would have loved sheets on the bed in addition to the blankets. All in all, an absolutely wonderful stay. "

"This property was perfect!! Close enough to everything while keeping us out of the busy tourist areas. The home was clean and cozy. Howard was away for the holiday. But, left us with contact info and a binder full of his island favorites. We particularly appreciated the instructions left by him that took us to the Puna trail, which led us to a private(ish) beach. There, we got to view the sea turtles soaking up the sun. We loved staying here, and plan on returning again in there future! Mahalo...
