"We throughly enjoyed our time at Jim and Kepi’s property. The unit was very well appointed and decorated beautifully (Kepi painted many of the art pieces herself!) Location was great and we all loved our time there. We would definitely stay again. "

"Our upper level unit was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, including a few, nice extra touches. Beds were comfortable, but bedrooms were very small and hard to maneuver around; beds took up most of floor space. We especially enjoyed watching the fun chicken and bird activity from our lanai each morning and evening. Stairs only; no elevator to upper level units. The grounds and pool around our building were clean and well-kept. The pool area had only a few chairs for sitting,...

"I stayed there for two weeks. Nice studio apartment in a duplex. The only downside is it’s next to a busy road and when people are in the other unit above you, you can hear them walking around. Otherwise a great place to stay."

"Large clean room (#7). Hot shower walk in! Toilet even with a bidet. Cooler provided for your provisions, frozen water bottles downstairs in the outside kitchen to keep it all cool and fresh. Super friendly responsive host. Cross breeze in the room made for incredible sleep to the sounds of the rain at night along with the all the creatires making their beuatiful voices heard! "

"A beautiful property with lush plants and trees, the Turtle Apt is a fantastic deal for the Big Island. It’s located near good restaurants, shopping, groceries, and gas, and is a relatively short drive from Hilo. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Just remember to bring some good plugs. The jungle comes alive at night with frogs, dogs, and roosters. "

"The property is just as described and the host is very nice. Just a couple of things to consider: the toilet is very low, so if you have knee or back issues, this may not be your place. Also there is no air conditioning. We were absolutely fine, but I don’t know how hot it would be in the summer. The drive across the island is 1.5-2 hours, so plan ahead. Overall, I would stay here again. It was comfortable and safe. "
