"They welcomed us in, showed us the facilities and gave us advice on where to go in Liverpool. through a booklet in the room. Great location for the price. Communal toilets and kitchen, were very clean and decent for the price. Felt very safe, would definitely recommend. "

"Just like another 2 couples , we couldn’t gain access to the property as we were told it was damaged on arrival to the property . We were left stranded and had to sleep on the street due to not being able To afford accadation elsewhere . We spoke to a man who we think was in charge of the property and he couldn’t have gave less of a damn. Shocking with no communication from Expedia and the property to not have yhe DECENCY to let us know !"

"Mere Brook is a lovely place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self service but everything was fresh and well stocked. We travelled in for a football match and very easy to get into Liverpool. Probably better than going in via the M62. Will definitely book again and highly recommended."

"A few toothing problems upon arrival, but the host sorted. The room was generally comfy and clean, but could do with abit of TLC to make look better. Radiator wasn't consistently working, which was not nice in the morning. "

"Very large room and very clean but generally a bit tired. Weirdly no TV in the room, we didn’t need one but just surprised to find a room these days without one. Host very knowledgeable and welcoming. Would stay again."

"Jonathan welcomed us as we arrived. He gave us a full overview about the area, touring options and the house facilities. He was very considirate and we worked a breakfast that suited our kosher diet. The house is AMASING! huge bed, beutiful bathroom, everything is nicely decorated. We didn't come with a car so we used public transportation (Uber, train). It worked great."

"Michael is a gentleman, he was very quick to sort out an issue that arose during my stay. He went out of his way to do all he could to make the stay more relaxed and enjoyable. Please don't think you're paying for a hotel room at this price however, what I got I was more than happy with and while lots of people will complain, you get what you pay for. For Liverpool football fans this place is literally right next door! Look out the windows and you can literally reach out and touch the Stadium! "

"Simon and Sue welcomed us as old friends of the family and after 2 days we thought we were. They are lovely people, very obliging, we had a fantastic breakfast included. They provided excellent advice on the sights of Liverpool and transport to and from, including the Mersey Ferry, Thankyou for the lift, and a personalised map. Every part of our stay was easy. We thank Simon and Sue for a wonderful stay. Pam and I can not recommend 2 The Rocklands highly enough. 10 out of 5 stars."

"Did not stay after seeing the place, no wonder it was cheap."

"Very slow check in, card machine not working so had to write my card details down on a piece of paper (not sure this is compliant with GDPR). No iron available. Paid £15 for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast but was only continental consisting of a box of cereal, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, rock hard crusty roll and a jar of strawberries. Drove 5 minutes down the road and got 2 full English breakfasts for £16. There was no shower gel and only half a toilet roll left for us....

"Angie and Charly could not have been more welcoming, The position was spectacular overlooking the valley set in a lovely garden, The rooms very tastefully decorated with large proportions. If in the area again we would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is located at a convenient spot near the pier. It is walkable distance to Liverpool one, about 10 mins of walking. It is also convenient to bus station terminal 4 for bus 26 to Liverpool stadium. The hotel is clean and staffs are friendly and informational. "

"This was the best place we have ever stayed in Liverpool. Jake the receptionist was the sweetest and so helpful. The apartment was very clean and plenty of towels and bedding. Would absolutely recommend! "

Third time staying

"Third time staying, very happy with hotel. Smaller bed and room this time but I think that was because hotel was sold out. I bought 2 cocktails at happy hour which are advertised as £10….so during happy hour 2 cocktails are £15! Oh well. I didn’t realise my 14 year old grandson wouldn’t be allowed in bar after 5pm. Didn’t matter we went out instead. Not sure if I’d come back a 4th time. "

"The main reason for giving a 10 is that the room was excellent. It was a very modern, boutique style room with really comfy bed and luxurious duvet, and the shower was spacious with a waterfall head as well as a separate shower handle. But also, we received a warm welcome from the staff on reception, including a spicy chocolate drink handed to us. Breakfast was tasty with continental buffet as well a cooked choice, plus hot drinks and juice brought to us as much as we liked. Bar staff were friendly and accommodating too."
