"I might say you get what you pay for. Normally I stay at Nomada Beach hostel, but since I was on a shoestring I went the budget route with Casa Santurce. It was a low key place but the bunk rooms are cramped, and their is no kitchen. For a few dollars more at Nomada you get a pool, a nice kitchen, much better showers, and many different sitting areas. I'd suggest that Casa Santurce make this more cooking friendly, and also provide a few more places to sit."

"Had a hard time finding the property with google maps, as it’s kinda hidden with just a blank green door with a door bell camera. 10min walk from the beach and great restaurants and bars, overall very good, not disappointed, at night there is lots of honking and you can hear everything. You can even hear a conversation from the ground to the second floor where the rooms are."

"Great hostel experience with location right on the beach. All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal for watching sunrises, getting to el yunque, exploring Fajardo and quickly accessing the vieques ferry and escaping the hoards in OSJ. It is a hostel… so bathrooms are shared and noise is expected in communal areas but even when crowded this was minimal. Easy to walk to great restaurants (strongly suggest CFood in LaPared containers…a 10min walk) and home safely"

"the owner was amazing she is kind, generous, respectful, and will feed u lol the place is amazing i had the best time of my life. if u like private quite with equipped with all your needs i recommend coming here. u wont regret it. but first make sure u have a rental car cuz the mountain view’s and drive is to die for! couldn’t ask for a better stay! "Valentina and Andrey are the greatest hosts. They are very caring and always make sure you’re comfortable and taken care of. The hostal is located in a convenient area that’s walking distance to the beach, markets and restaurants. The place has established pretty clear and reasonable rules that ensure the cohabitation with other guests is harmonic and respectful. Just be aware that specific spot of Punta Cana is slowly developing and there is a lot of construction sites in the surroundings...

"My room was very clean and the fact it was on the beach was a huge perk! My room did not have hot water. I advised the front desk. They said they would take care of it but when I went back after a day at the beach, the water was still cold. The hallways are dark and creepy. Other than those two things, it wasnt that bad of a stay. "
