"The hotel is a large old inn on the outside, but inside is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. For example: we were shown to our room on arrival (never had that before) and were a font of knowledge about the various local walks and sights. There is even a map painted on the ceiling of the bar! Restaurant was an excellent source of hearty and freshly cooked meals (breakfasts and dinners). Highly recommend."

"Breakfast service was poor we seemed to be forgotten about both mornings waiting up to 35/40 mins after ordering and getting in complete order,hotels nice just lacking seating for just wanting a drink."

"Lovely facilities and great atmosphere. Easy check in/out and clean room. The only issue I had was that the room itself was very cold throughout the night. But I did make the booking fairly last minute so it’s possible this was an oversight. "

"The staff were really friendly during our stay, the breakfast was fantastic and service was great. We were so disappointed to discover on the last day that there was another side to the breakfast menu which we hadn't turned over!
