"We booked this stay as we had a nearby excursion and the location was perfectly situated. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived, a hamper was left with bread, milk, butter ect. It was very thoughtful and was accompanied by a very information letter highlighting places worth visiting ect, all of which contributed to creating this weekend away as special as it was. The place itself is lovely, equipped with all you need & is great value for money."

"This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). "We had a lovely time in this beautiful house - there was plenty of living space for the whole group to spread out and we loved having a big group dinner in the grand dining room. The house is old and some niggles are to be expected (minor cobwebs, loose doorknobs, a couple of chipped mugs) and they definitely didn't take away from our love for the place (and shouldn't deter anyone else!)."

"It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs."
