"The heating was not on in the hotel. As it was cold on the evening the receptionist supplied us with a convecter heater. Top marks for a very helpful receptionist. The towels were rather thin and hard. I would have expected thick, fluffy towels. The breakfast was very good with a nice menue.. However, I would prefer to help myself instead of waitress service. This may have been due to not many people staying there."

"Excellent quality room and bathroom. Very good water pressure for the shower. Good quality breakfast too. I was able to park easily on a day that wasn’t busy. The road near the hotel also has free parking after 6pm until 8am if needed. "

"A real gem, across the road from the station or use the great free car park next door. Reception was welcoming and after hearing about a bad night at a national chain the night before they promptly sorted an upgrade of room for us - so kind. Breakfast was served in a sunny open room with lots of choices and cooked to order! A fabulous way to set you up for the day. "

"Comfortable stay in this small pub/hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was good, with a comfortable bed. The en suite bathroom was clean if a little tired looking but had all amenities one would want. The breakfast was great but the dining room was rather plain. It was lively in the evening and had great beer. "
