"Long time since I had been to this Hotel and my memories were that about 15 years ago it was a tired looking place. I was aware that there had been a refurb and was pleasantly surprised with the look of the hotel, our room was lovely and the King size bed was fantasticly comfortable. My wife loved the Spa and used it everyday. The location is excellent for exploring Harrogate the only downside was the £15 a day parking fee which for a paying guest is a bit much. "Such a lovely room with a very comfortable bed. Everything we could want was available and definitely worth the money. Only issue was we were on the 7th floor and so the room did get too warm to comfortably sleep in, even in January, however this is common in mosy hotels so wouldn't put is off at all. We will definitely be back!"

"I have stayed before & I like the place & people; slightly disappointed that there was no effort to clear the car park of snow or indeed the path up to the door - it was very dangerous. No grit or salt laid either. They did say they had a shovel ! "

"One night stag as a couple, really nice hotel, friendly staff and the lobby and restaurant were top quality. Room looks like it’s seen better days, some light switches were wonky, some light didn’t work at all, old-school radiator rather than a thermostat control. A tv you can stream from your phone would be better (things like ‘chrome cast’ are becoming standard in similar hotels in the uk) "

"great location and lovely room - just a shame the bar area was shut as the temp bar wasn't up to much and the temp breakfast room soulless. Otherwise perfect and the reception staff was excellent. I was able to leave a bag the day before and check in early. "

"Lovely weekend away for my husband’s birthday. We were given an upgrade to an executive room which was very nice. Room was large with good views over the square in front of the train station. Dressing gowns and Nespresso machine along with tea and coffee included. A card and a small box of chocolates was sent up too, lovely gesture, was appreciated."

Overnight stay

"Reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Had a good sleep, bed was very comfortable. Shower was easy to use with plenty of hot water. Only downside, room was tired and carpet badly stained."

"I just feel it’s not bad if u wanna stay somewhere cheap but the tap was lose on in the kitchen cooker on to use fridge did not work well bed was ok got a bit of back problems from the bed and the shower was good on hotels.com I asked for free packing for my m8 but there was not any there when we got there we had to get pay for parking ooo and bring a fan if it’s hot wether as it’s way to hot "
