"The hotel is above a shopping centre without any grounds around the hotel, however, it is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the old town. All the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The bedroom was sleek and modern with an ‘open plan’ shower/wash area. The beds were very comfortable with 3 different pillows varying from soft to firm. "Had a great stay all the staff were great. We had an upgrade to a suite what was very nice of them. The location was lovely and allowed easy travel to all places. Overall would recommend hotel to anyone, I would also gladly return to this hotel. "

"A wonderful end to my time in Madeira. The hotel was stunning and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. My room was one of the best hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed out of all my various trips - extremely clean, well ventilated, warm and cosy and as someone who is passionate about interior styling, I really appreciated the minimalist design. "The hotel is lovely. Rooms are a good size with walk in showers. Rooms cleaned daily and housekeeper checks each day that all is well. Food, staff, service all excellent. Hotel situated in a quiet are but only about five minutes to the seafront. Great transport links. "

"The hotel is in a great location just on the edge of Funchal centre. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the ocean with beautiful views. Our only issue was that the bed was very firm, although this was cured when the hotel added a mattress topper to the beds after mentioning this fact to Expedia."

"Amazing staff, always doing their best to grant an excellent stay. Great location, comfortable and clean (although some mold can be seen in the washroom). Only area of improvement I suggest is their Wi-Fi - tremendously slow: speeds should be improved. "

"A unique gem of a hotel. The views & sounds of being so close to the sea is incredible. Rooms are clean & modern, dining options, particularly the rooftop restaurant are superb. You definitely will need a hire car if you want to explore the local area, as porto moniz is quite small with just a handful of places to go."

"Great location but a little tired in places, particularly the room. The room smelt musty upon first entry, my wife said it smelt of smoke. Bath plug was missing and there was hair on our floor and in our bathroom which was definitely not ours. I think housecleaning can do with an upgrade. Also towels were not always replaced. On the service side, staff were polite but not always helpful. As it was our first time, we asked for directions only to be given a map and told to look on that. ...

"We had a relaxing and lovely time. The views of the Marina, the pool, the ocean and the beach and Cliff were stunning. The a la carte breakfast Royal Eggs were insanely good."

"I loved it! I had a sea view and as expected the sunset was amazing from any angle of the hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast served here. The front desk staff were very professional & helpful. The location it's conveniently (15-minutes away from Funchal) if you decide not to rent a car since public transportation is reliable in the area, literally there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.... Well recommended. "
