"Property was beautiful and clean. The staff and food were wonderful. Had a great free breakfast each morning. The beds we extremely hard, but provided plenty of linen options to try and assist. Location was beautiful. Had a great day just explorijg Porto Moniz, then explored the Coast - each town was only a 20ish minute drive to the next, then an hour back. Enjoyed having this as our first exploring location."

"Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was quite dusty. Easy to walk down to town although up hill coming back, but do able. Taxis plentiful everywhere."

"This is my second stay in this hotel. Nice hotel, not to far to walk to central Funchal. Nice, clean rooms. Good breakfast, nice pool and & spa area. Will stay again!"

"The property was in a very convenient location to get to restaurants in the town, and to attractions in the area. Breakfast buffet was great. The weather wasn’t very cooperative, so we did not have a chance to enjoy the pool. Air conditioning didn’t work well. "

"The staff were all wonderful. Breakfast and Dinner buffets were also great. Hotel was nicely appointed. The garage parking was tight but great. No need to drive around and try to find parking and pay. Would definitely recommend this hotel"
