"It was such an attractive, creatively put together and decorated place. The bed was especially comfy, and the ceiling fan was strong and made good white noise (needed in this busy city). I had the idea that it was closer to the airport than it was, but it was worth the bit of extra time it took to get there. Good value!"

"Darren has a nice little place that is in a convenient location for getting to or from the airport to start or end your trip, or even to use as a base for doing day trips. The room was comfortable and clean and the area is safe. You do hear planes when they fly over, but that is to be expected when you stay near the airport."

"This is a reasonably priced boutique hotel close to the airport. They offer an airport shuttle for $5 (only leaving from the hotel) and breakfast is available for $11. The hotel works well for a quick overnight stay in San Jose before flying out or when flying back into the country and not wanting to make the long drive home at night. The hotel is behind a tall motorized gate and also within a small cul de sac that is also gated so it feels safe. We did not partake of the breakfast so we can't...

"The Cariari B&B was like a home away from home. The staff is so warm and welcoming. They were very accommodating when we requested an earlier breakfast. The inn is charming and the grounds are beautiful. There is an incredible roof top deck/lounge area to relax and dine. It is in a perfect location for a stay before or after flying out of San Jose. It was a memorable experience!"
