"Advertised as a hotel (not Pontins) with an address that didn't match the booking one and lacking many of the basics you'd have in in anything resembling a hotel. One of the worst properties I've stayed in over 4 decades. A generally stand off ish and hostile undertone from the staffing on arrival, several serious defects and no warning about the bedding or towel shortfalls (unless you are one of their loyal customers who tolerate more than they should be expected to). "Lovely hotel, rooms were well appointed. 4*. I had a small double room with ensuite. Shower. Missed a fridge being in the room though. Parking is limited at the hotel but plenty of free parking to the side on road. Avoid parking under trees as lots of seagulls around...! Friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely breakfast. Full traditional English and buffet continental. Hotel has a Victorian feel about it. Lifts were all working. West end of Folkestone. By beach and easy to walk into the centre along by the sea. Highly recommended."
