"I paid £200 for 2 nights at this lovely hotel and it was 100% value for money. I booked what I believe was a small double, but somehow ended up in a huge and extremely comfort room. I can only assume this was an upgrade, which I was very grateful for as I was down to run a half marathon! The robe and slippers in the room were also a nice touch. Every single member of staff I encountered during my stay was extremely friendly and polite. It reminded me of the level of hospitality experienced in hotels pre-covid, and it made the stay as a solo female very relaxing. The bar area was inviting with a nice atmosphere (free drink voucher if you opt out of housekeeping which I thought was a great idea) and the buffet breakfast was just what you would expect from a hotel in this price bracket. The stand out for me was the leisure club. The pool, steam room and jacuzzi were wonderful! Relaxing, clean and quiet - bliss. Although advertised as being open 4-8pm, I was told upon checking in that it would be open for guests from 7am which was a lovely bonus. My only very tiny niggle was how warm the room was, but with an aircon unit and a fan the hotel are clearly doing the best they can in this area. Brilliant experience and I will definitely be returning! "
