It was short trip and my first time in Glasgow and my first staying at a Marriot. It was lovely, the room was ideal and the breakfast included was great. I will definitely return again if I ever go back to Glasgow

Room was good but lock didn’t work, but was able to use metal door chain. Area around hotel not salubrious, need to get taxi to main shopping centre. Breakfast excellent and although quite expensive is value for money. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The reception staff was exceptional and even though they had a slight issue with the computer system they dealt with it professionally and kept everyone up to date! Room was fabulous too as was the breakfast! Definitely one of the better Marriott hotels with warm welcoming staff from reception to the restaurant team! Will be coming back again. Thank you!

The room was incredibly clean and spacious. We loved the amenities provided. (Hairdryer, ironing board and iron, glasses, tea/coffee, soaps etc) The breakfast was top notch and generous. The staff on check-in and in general were so polite and great at clarifying times for breakfast, bar and the pool. We used the pool on 2 nights of our stay and also loved it!! And being on Argyle Street we were only a few minutes away from the action of Glasgow at a very good price!! We loved it so much and have vowed to return!!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, great location for OVO Hydro. Hidden charges for parking which we thought were included in our room rate, so an additional unexpected cost. Pool area highly disappointing, half the pool is blocked off for swimming lessons which is unclear (a rather rude female swimming teacher will let you know tho!) and can’t really swim properly in the space left. Overall a good experience but don’t book this hotel for the leisure facilities.

This Marriott hotel is certainly not up to it's usual standard compared to others that we've stayed in. The executive room was more of a Travelodge standard. Broken window which did not shut properly. After many discussions, which was not appropriate, we asked to move. We were told hotel was fully booked and after digging our heals in and telling them it left us with no option but to request a full refund and source alternative hotel, miraculously a room was found! The swimming pool facility did not have a sufficient enough of beds which left the option of sitting on a chair in the pool area. Also pool floor area was dirty and I did not see one person come in to clean or wipe the floor down whilst I was there. If you are sleep sensitive, the constant ventilation noise will drive you nuts! The positives were: comfy bed and pillows, lovely staff in the restaurant who were extremely attentive, nice hot shower, good steam room. I feel the rooms really could do with a dressing table to be able to do your hair and makeup. This is a must, rather than taking it away to make the rooms more simplistic. It does not work. Overall the hassle it caused initially ruined the experience in this hotel and it is very doubtful we will return.
