"Whilst the hotel was perfectly placed, clean and welcoming, I had specifically booked the hotel as it had a bar and pool table. Having a teenager with us, it was hoped we could use this at night. To find that the hotel bar closed at 8pm and there was no pool table was disappointing, had this been known we would have booked elsewhere. "Perfectly situated hotel within walking distance of the train station and the city centre. Very quiet street and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated. Breakfast was top notch too and the staff were super friendly. 10/10"

Would stay again but I’d book independently as YOU, HOTELS.COM did not pass on my payment to the Bootham and YOU told the Bootham I was 2 persons and needed to be charged double for breakfasts! I had to prove I’d paid for my stay when I arrived which made me feel very uncomfortable and I hold YOU, HOTELS.COM entirely responsible and in no way am I annoyed with the Bootham B&B. "I booked this hotel as I was attending a funeral nearby. The manager and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and comfortable. I noticed that some of the rooms were being updated while we were there. I had the Sunday lunch (Steak pie and veg) which was excellent and plenty of it too. The breakfast is of the continental style with no limit on what one ate and bottomless tea and coffee. We had to be out of the room by 11am....
