"When the fire alarm went off at 4 am on New Years Day, the staff were quite quick to help evacuate the premises and kept people informed. There was no fire and we were quickly allowed back to our rooms. One thing I was not impressed with was that when we booked, there was not information that the swimming pool times were changed. This caused us to change our plans so that my children could go swimming, one reason for choosing this hotel."

"We stay every year as part of our Christmas shopping weekend and nothing really changes. It’s a good quality hotel, with great rooms & good amenities. The local is good but there is nothing else around so you’re in it with them in terms of food etc which is a little pricey. I think breakfast could be better. "

"The room was good and service was excellent. Unfortunately there was mis communication over the childrens bed as I had asked for 2 individual put me ups and they had one sofa bed with 2 duvets. Which for a 14 year boy and 11 year girl wasn't fun. They said they would change it on night. It wasn't. "The room was just as shown on the photos. I had seen some negative reviews so had some apprehension, but there were no problems on our visit. Comfortable beds, hot water, good heating, reasonable carpet; 24/7 Asda shop and other facilities at the service station. No fridge or cooking facilities, but I took a microwave and had no problems. Awesome Hotel and City!

"We are a family of 4--2 teenaged sons and 2 adults-- we had a king/queen room. The boys shared the king and my husband and I shared the queen. We loved our stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were super helpful, the rooms were clean, and the room staff were accommodating and kind. The restaurant had tasty items on the dinner menu (we didn't try the breakfast). Here is why you should stay at the Apex: it is very well located--close to the main tourist center (Roman Baths, the Thermae Bath Spa, Abbey etc) and many restaurants, it actually is walkable from the train station or just a 6 minute Uber ride, and the spa/pool area is fun and relaxing and includes sauna, steam room, water features, and nice shower area. We were there on New Years and even though the hotel was full of people it wasn't noisy. There is so much to do in Bath and neighboring Bristol. I especially recommend the 2 hour Mayor's free walking tour. We learned so much about the city. I'd happily go back again."
