"Hotel is due a refurb we were told and it certainly needs it. On the outside fantastic looking building. Inside very grand but is unloved and unkept for a long time it seems. Very dirty, surface clean only, piles of dust by bed, windows large cobwebs, wallpaper looks as old as the house. Most staff very good."

The hotel we’re hosting a wedding and unfortunately there was very little space to sit and relax during the day and on our return the bar had closed at 10.30 and we were told to head to the wedding bar if we wanted a drink, don’t think the bride and groom would have been too chuffed . As a guest would have been nice to have felt a little more hospitality, don’t think the hotel should be renting rooms out when a wedding is on."
