"The property is just as the pictures indicate. A quiet and relaxing place to stay. The one concern I would raise is parking. While the area where the house is located is very quiet the other part of the village is filled with tourists all day long. While we were there the moment we left our parking space it was taken immediately. We made sure we didn’t return to the village till late afternoon when we could again find a parking spot."

Fijn dat er een wasmachine is, want 2 handdoeken p.p. voor 10 dagen is wel heel erg weinig. Tip voor de eigenaar: wat ophang haakjes in de keuken en badkamer zou fijn zijn en een informatiemap met o.a. gebruiksaanwijzingen zou ook handig zijn. wat haakjes "

"Spent a week at La Chirita for a bird-watching holiday as a couple in our early 60's. The cottage is on the rustic side, but contains everything that you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday. The jewel in the crown is the location amongst the trees, in the foothills of the pinebelt, with a large, private, wild 'garden' full of native plants/flowers, and birds - canaries dominate, but there are also flyby's of both local pigeons, amongst other endemics. "Very happy with our stay in this property. Although basic it was adequately furnished for our needs. Aldea blanco is perfectly placed for beach or exploring the island. Aldi, Lidl and many other stores close by. Airport 10 minutes away. Ignore previous comments regarding dogs barking. We stayed 3 weeks and this was never an issue. Before leaving we didn’t hesitate to book for next winter"

"A great place to stay with a great host. The apartment is just a few miles from the coast and so it was a few degrees cooler and therefore much more pleasant than down on the main resorts. It also has amazing views of the coast. The apartment was clean, spacious and well-equipped. We enjoyed using the gardens around the apartment and the good sized swimming pool. "Highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer. We booked this property to relax with family and friends (3 couples and 3 children). We loved that it was quiet and peaceful. The property is quite large, and had everything we needed. It was a little hot in some of the bedrooms in the summer we were there, but we wouldn't trade the property for anywere else. "The Finca Delicias are a small group of converted farm buildings located in a banana plantation near the beach and rock swimming pools of Alcala. The house was well presented, creatively furnished, and well equipped with generous amounts of space indoors and out. Incredible views of the ocean with the sun setting behind La Gomera each evening. The overall sense of tranquility and privacy was a welcome change from Costa Adeje."

"If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries this is it. Took a bit of finding (keep going to end of the road when you turn onto Camino del Chamizo) and the roads are very steep, but was worth the effort. The house is well equipped and spacious. The views from the outside area are spectacular. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will hopefully be back."

"The property was perfect in every way. Unfortunately the satnav couldn't find the house. We phoned the owner who didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. We found a taxi rank and asked them to take us and we would follow and pay them. He couldn't find it either, so he spoke to the owner who came and met us and we followed him. He was very helpful - considering it was now midnight!! Other than this everything else was great. A very steep climb down to the town."

"Host is very helpful and supportive. The cottage has a great interior design with an antique touch and interesting wallphotos showing the area. Exterior is super. With a barbeque area with a n outdoor kitchenette .The area itself is close to the town and the three city of Porto de la Cruz is close. Only problem was that our GPS always showed the worst way to get to the south side.. .We enjoyed our stay."

"The classes at Activate were great. The children’s playroom was immaculate and beautifully designed. Our apartment and balcony with jacuzzi was incredible. The jacuzzi was definitely worth getting!!"

Loved it ! Definitely returning ☺️

"First ever stay in a hostel & I enjoyed every moment. I felt safe, comfortable & relaxed the whole time. Nest felt like a little community & everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable equipped with a curtain for privacy and a small shelf for your phone next to a plug socket and lamp. As well as a storage area for belongings ( just take your own padlock). The communal room I was in backed out straight onto the pool area & staff were very good and strict with making sure people left the area after 11pm for those that want a quiet night sleep ! There was also a jacuzzi near the out door kitchen which was a lovely touch as well as plenty of bathrooms & kitchens so I never once had to wait around to use facilities. The location is only a 10min walk from the beach and near to lots of restaurants & entertainment. I personally went to Tenerife to scuba dive which I enjoyed very much and nest is within 20 mins from a few dive schools which is handy! I will definitely be returning, just like many others that I met! Some people had been going every year for several years! It was great to see such a range of nationalities & even huge age differences that were staying at nest ! Overall a lovely place to stay. "

"The property was very well maintained and cleaned everywhere. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodative. We have several interactions with the concierge desk attendants and bartenders and many others and it was always a positive experience."
