"We have stayed at this hotel several times previously. It looks quite dated but the service is very good and welcoming, the room was good (bathroom especially) a good welcome is assured, and breakfast was excellent as always."

They said they had only owned the hotel about a year and were gradually doing it up. The bar is listed and absolutely beautiful. Our room had everything we needed after a quick shower we had a great sleep. Breakfast was included in the great price and was top class. Hopefully we'll wander that way again and would definitely stay at the station hotel again. "

Everything has been well thought out and the decor works seamlessly from reception to lounge, conservatory. Restaurant, corridors , landings and bedroom. Spotlessly clean, fresh towels and bedding. Lovely bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Food was excellent each breakfast and evening meal. The external seating areas worked well with well laid out patio and garden. Can’t praise the hotel enough. A wonderful 3 days and will definitely return for a relaxing few days holiday in the future."
