"Really like this place. Visited as a solo business traveler, so want somewhere comfortable and clean where I can eat in. The rooms are very comfortable indeed and I can’t fault the cleanliness. WiFi works well. Staff are really friendly without being intrusive. Evening menu is varied even for a gluten free pain like me, and offer great value for money. There’s a good vibe in the bar as well. Breakfast is included and very good. The location is perfect for me - nice and quiet and having arrived...

"Lovely country pub in good location for local tourist sites with friendly and attentive staff. Stayed for one night whilst visiting Beamish Living Museum, nice room, friendly bar downstairs and full cooked breakfast available in the morning. Will be happy to return and would recommend to others."

"Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....

"I wanted a low budget one night stay. Although property is old fashioned, my single room, with en suite was very clean and bed was comfortable The breakfast cerea,l yogurt etc was an unexpected bonus. Kettle, microwave and fridge in room. Member of staff on arrival friendly and helpful. I couldn’t get the tv to find any chanels, but not there long enough to enquire about it. Could do with a chair, but overall exactly what i wanted Thank you"
