"Brae Guesthouse is a little ways out of downtown Edinburgh but just a 10-minute ride on a bus that goes by often. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful. I stayed there at the end of a trip in which numerous things had gone wrong, not least of which was having my wallet and phone stolen. The owner was more than kind and supportive, and made sure my stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this property. "

"The cottage is very nice. It is on two levels, the kitchen/dining is down quite a steep staircase that I found difficult to negotiate. I'm nearly 70 and my daughter fast approaching 50, so not spring chickens! If you want to use the sofa as a bed there is a 35 pound charge for linen that isn't made clear when booking.
