"Really friendly Staff. Good food and bargain at low cost. Great Parking. Just a little noisy with busy road passing by had to close window during nighttime. On the whole great place to hole up if visiting Leicester."

"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"What a fantastic place to stay and a big thank you to Beth and Josh for making me feel so welcome. A beautiful bar/restaurant and the food was amazing! The room was charming and the bathroom was new with a walk-in shower. Free water in the fridge and tea/coffee making facilities."

"Great little place to stay with really welcoming and friendly staff. We had a beautiful clean and cosy warm room with all the options as described in our booking. We dined in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to some local trails and town was an easy walk or drive down the road. Thank you"

"Lovely welcome, clean, warm comfortable room. The only problem was, I was unable to eat at the premises on Monday evening this time of year. Apparently they start serving.evening meals again on Monday evenings come March time."

"The property offers a high standard of basic accommodation. The food was great - a good selection of food and drink - and the service excellent. Not so good was the staircase leading up to the rooms, which was steep, winding and with narrow steps. I appreciate this is a period property and it worked for me; however, those with mobility issues may struggle even with staff assistance. On my visit, the internet was not operational and had not been for several days. It would have been helpful to...

"The Red Lion was "going under new ownership" upon our arrival. We were the first customers. The facility was historic and quaint. The food was good although it was obvious things were just getting going. I felt safe and it was nice to be in a lovely English village for the evening.
