Rooms were a little tired and worn but everything worked and reception was helpful and efficient. While there was a tesco, Greggs and costa just 2 mins away, the area just out of the uni campus felt very unsafe. But perfect location for central Birmingham, especially if you need parking. "Really happy with the welcome from the reception, The ambiance of the hotel was excellent. Parking was easy too. We got a drink at the bar but all the tables were set up with cutlery and menus. The seating was set up for dining only, I would have preferred a comfy armchair, or a ‘snug’ to rest in after a busy day. We had no choice but to go back to our room. There was a room with 4 chairs. But not at all welcoming. Detached and cold, One felt as though you were in the naughty room. Lovely nights...
