"Nice cheap place in the centre of downtown. Nothing special, but is exactly all you need. No parking, but a parking garage nearby for a fee. Very polite staff, breakfast was delicious. Would stay here again. "

"I needed to make a last-minute reservation in Reykjavik and looked at Guesthouse Aurora primarily based on price and location. And it didn't disappoint. I had a clean room, clean shared bathroom and a good breakfast in a safe area very close to Hallgrímskirkja church. They also can do laundry for a cost and hold luggage."

"This place was absolutely phenomenal. Clean as a whistle. Beautiful rooms and buildings. Nice copious free continental style breakfast buffet. Wonderful staff. It's in the middle of everything downtown and close to everything ... and also a bus stop as a launch point to tours and to the airport (taxis are expensive so use the bus unless you need it now). Views right into the Main Street. Bathroom was big and beautiful. For a $100 up charge they also let me check in at 8am and eat breakfast. Trust me it was worth it for flying in on the red eye. 5 stars all around. "

"We loved the location. Right in the heart of things. Also loved the kitchenette - stocked with coffee, tea, milk and cornflakes. The hotel was beautiful, having just been renovated last year. Finally the service was outstanding. Fantastic experience all around. We would highly recommend."

"The hotel was an easy five minute walk to the center of Reykjavík, sights, harbour, restaurants and shops, also importantly close to bus stops 1 and 2 for tours and 6 for hop on hop off bus. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient and room was kept clean and stocked with coffee!"
