"Perfect hotel for 3 nights in Reykjavik! We booked a double room with balcony, but we were disappointed that the bed was smaller than we expected and was right against the wall. Reception staff were lovely and upgraded us to a deluxe room (thank you again)… this room was fantastic. The common areas were ample, warm and inviting. The hotel is right next to the whale boat tours and about 15 minute walk to the centre (but with lots of bars and restaurants to pop into on the way)."

"The Sand hotel was great - SO centrally located, we could walk everywhere from our hotel, and the hotel bar was cute and convenient on a cold night. Breakfast was GREAT and the staff were very professional and extremely nice. Our room even had a little balcony - so cute! Spacious and extremely clean and convenient. We would stay there again for sure."

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot even though we really only slept here. Most travel guides will pick you up from this hotel too which made it super convenient. When we wanted to go into Reykjavik center, we just took a taxi. However, it is walkable as well (about 20-25 minute walk). "
