"It’s rare to visit an establishment where there are so many excellent staff. We visited the Countryman on Boxing Day and booked a Christmas meal and a double room. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent. The room was very comfortable. I cannot praise everyone enough. If you visit Dorchester, this IS the place to stay. "We only stayed one night in a double room with en-suite in Hattie’s House which is a building across the car park and had a wonderful evening meal in the pub itself.The interior of the pub was exceptionally warm and inviting. The breakfast was good also."
