I did not like the room which I had booked, which was described as Deluxe Single. It was not deluxe, it was an attic room, small, with small window. It was clean and very quiet, too quiet. The whole place had a musty smell., needs good air conditioning. Staff were very helpful in upgrading me to a double en suite room which was almost newly refurbished, in a good location for views of the seafront. Though too quiet, well away from reception and the lounge and dining room. I had booked six nights but cancelled the last night. I was not charged for four of the breakfasts as staff advised that I would be unlikly to get a refund for the last night as now a very quiet season, very few bookings. Continental breakfast was OK, probably expected quality for the price. Staff very helpful. I did not like that a large section of the hotel was empty and gradually being refurbished. But this was off season in October. Very good location for all amenities and transport, restaurants, pubs and shops Would consider again in high season. Good entertainment on the Friday night too
