"We had a had a lovely stay at Explorar during Easter. Excellent staff with shout outs to Tikki by the pool and Joy and Kate in reception who made it such a special experience. Also the bar staff and waiters were all exceptional. The service was quite slow - especially for the special meals such as Easter dinner. We also noticed on that occasion that the people who were indulging in the bottles of wine got more attention! There are only limited options outside the hotel but you can access various...

"This is a beautifully designed hotel...modern architecture, beautiful plants and small gardens/pools integrated to make up the indoor-outdoor feel of the place. Horizon swimming pools and amazing views to the sea and islands beyond add to a great experience. Staff were wonderful, even by 5* hotel standards. Its a very boutique hotel. Only one very minor issue...booked a "penthouse" room...but it was not the top floor as the name would suggest. Wth though...the stay was brilliant."

"great location, right the beach, with very nice views. The hotel is funky (the rooms are old ship containers for example), but confortable, clean and extremely friendly. The restaurant within the hotel serves good Thai food at ridiculously low prices, and the tables are directly on the beach (your feet in the sand, under the trees). I stayed there quite a few times, and thought it was quite a good deal."

"The rooms were nestled into beautiful foliage for privacy. The gardens as a whole were lovely and well tended. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant led directly onto the beach as did the infinity pool/pool bar. The beach was cleaned twice a day to remove leaves etc. - a lovely walk, peaceful, not too many people.
