"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. Luxury on the edge of the jungle

"This is a high end hotel very close to Mulu National Park. The rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. Common areas are charming airy and comfortable The dinner buffet is generous if unexciting but considering the remoteness of Mulu does well to cater to most tastes What makes this hotel excellent are the staff. Exceptionally helpful polite and charming. "
