"We booked this as a pit stop on route to the Dales. Lovely staff and clean nice room. The only thing was the A/C was very noisy in the night. It kept me awake but my husband slept through 😂"

"Really cannot fault this hotel for the price we paid.Minor criticisms, winter quilts on beds were too much but it was a warm night,perhaps change to 4.5 tog for summer. Breakfast was great apart from bacon which was overcooked to the point of being dry,still ate it though so no points knocked off"

"My daughter was due to have an operation at Nottingham Spire, and I was driving up from Luton, so I randomly chose Gamston Lock from the available list of hotels because 1) It was closest to the hospital 2) Because it was cheap 3) Because there was a restaurant on site. The lovely surprise we got on arrival was a fabulous pub/restaurant with a spacious outdoor seating area, immaculately presented rooms with incredibly comfortable beds, and a great restaurant with the tastiest pies I’ve had in years!!"

"We had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous! Would happily stay again if I was in the area."
