"Wonderful ryokan-style hotel. Stayed for 2 nights with half-board, and the meals (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The staff were attentive and engaging, taking the time to introduce the dinner menu to us. Chose this place for my children's first ski experience. Just a 30-minute drive to Shiga Kogen where all the ski resorts are. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor onsens. Simply superb for a hot, relaxing soak after a day on the ski slopes. Highly recommended! "

"We had an amazing stay at Masuya. We chose the Japanese-style room with a private onsen, which was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious, clean, and beautiful. The private onsen is very nice (better than the pictures), the public onsens are also great, most of the time we had the onsens for ourselves. "We loved everything about our stay in Sierra. The location is in the middle of stunning forest, very close to ski slopes, lovely food options are available through the day. Nothing can be better than enjoying private onsen after a day of skiing. Lovelies stuff. We will definitely be back! "
