Continental breakfast was great for the price of free. The only thing worth advising is that there are A LOT of steps to get up to the hotel, and with baggage it is not a task to be taken lightly. There is a second elevator in the town that would have solved this problem, but it is still closed for renovation. We managed though, and...

"The hotel staff was amazing - very kind and helpful. We really loved it, apart from one problem that meant we didn’t get a great sleep. The room itself was very nice, but be aware that there is no ventilation at all. We were told they only turn on the AC in summer, but we couldn’t even open a vent to let air in from outside. The only option is to have the balcony doors open, and unfortunately that comes with a lot of street noise late at night and early in the morning. "

"Very nice house with friendly and helpful staff. Its a up hill walk of a medium distance. A bit difficult if you have baggage. Breakfast is not included. But just a 5 minute walk to the beach and Monterroso's esplanade. Old town is about 15 minutes walk along the sea. Plenty of eateries starting from the moment you come down the hill."

"We really enjoyed our two night stay in Manarola. Boutique hotel an easy five minute walk from the train station. Check-in was quick and easy. Our host secured a reservation for dinner quickly at Trattoria dal Billy featuring fresh fish and a spectacular cliff side view of the sunset. Our large, comfortable, well appointed room had a peekaboo view of the town square and sea. Unexpected bonus was a shared terrace with a spectacular unobstructed sea view.
