"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy...

"Good location. Close high street but quiet. Use wonderful liquid soap and lotion. It should have 5 stars. However, I found there is mould in the electrical kettle and stained towels, so I deducted 1 star out of 5. "

"In many ways more like B&B rather than hotel. Public bar downstairs. Breakfast very nice and owner friendly and helpful. Set in a small village with very nice surrounding countryside. My only criticism would be that it was quite expensive for a B&B. "
