"Reception staff very professional and helpful; swimming pool and gym amazing; comfy and clean rooms; the only thing that let it all down was the bar staff. The girl made a face when we asked for the food menu and her whole manners weren’t professional. This spoiled our dinner really. Breakfast really great as usual. "

"Lovely big comfortable bedrooms, a cosy library and the conservatory for meals had the best views. The pool area and spa helped make our stay memorable. The hotel had an old fashioned charm but was warm and well looked after. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to the area. "

"Great location. Hotel is beautifully clean and cosy. Only issue maybe was the parking situation. Only a few spaces available that we never managed to park in. There were a few parking spaces a few minutes walk away that had been allocated for the hotel but not ideal if you’re elderly or disabled. Overall a very happy customer who had a relaxing stress free stay. "

"The hotel is a historic building and undoubtedly shows its age, at least in the room I had. I had a cosy room on the 3rd floor which was exactly that, cosy, but did the job. Hotel location is excellent right by the train station"
