"This was not a great pick The bed was awful, very old and squeaky, the radiators were roasting and the dial did not work to adjust it, we asked at reception and were told someone would fix it, we were there 2 days and no one showed up so we slept all night with both windows open and we’re still far to hot, we were also at the front of the hotel so didn’t get much sleep with the noise of the traffic. I had a reservation for 2 nights, rec'd numerous emails from hotels.com about it (including the one linking to this survey) only to get there and be told the B&B closed in Nov 2022 and there was no lodging to be had. They literally laughed when we walked in. I contacted hotels.com online, only to be told they couldn't help. "No-frills service: manager never showed up: accessible only via key-pad (intercom), we requested early breakfast (we're told breakfast area would be unlocked in the morning, which was... but we couldn't find the lights switch: not fun with two little kids, one of whom is afraid of darkness)."

"I have stayed here a number of times and it just gets better. Comfortable room, great atmosphere and food in the bar/drawing room and Judith looked after me incredibly well. I had a guest in for dinner, she made sure we had a good table and were well looked after and then was on hand at breakfast as I left before breakfast was due to start, and I had a delicious breakfast. I was even given a take away Cappucinno!!"
