"Staff, friendly, very clean room and property. As a single female traveler, I was not comfortable with the set up. This hotel is more like a motel with internal room doors. My entrance was not near the lobby. If I wanted to be in a more visible area, there was an up charge. The window to my first floor room was unlocked, which I only happened to find before I went to bed, after I had left my belongings there. You can hear anything that happens in the hallway. "Before you book this hotel, ask yourself what will you be doing in Santa Cruz. The room was very clean. The shower head was high enough for my 6'4" husband, and the water pressure was decent. The bed was a bit on the firm side, but not so hard that we were uncomfortable. The sink area was separate from the toilet and shower which is always nice However, there wasn't a towel rod by the sink, so the hand towel we were using had to be just laid on the counter.
