"Staff on arrival were professional and easy friendly - that’s rare these days. They appeared to be just a better quality than often found in budget hotels. They looked you in the eye and seemed to actually enjoy their job! I felt immediately happy to be there. They intentionally described all that was available during our stay and nothing was a bother. The room was spotless clean. It’s a new hotel so that helped. Placed in a business park means it’s peaceful and quiet. Right by the tram and shopping. You should describe that in your location on the hotel description! It’s a real selling point and you’re not promoting the tram, just a few stops to Edinburgh, the shops or the peace and you should! You should also promote the dining area- I wish we had known there was a microwave to use freely and the tea and coffee on tap 24 hrs - you need to promote these in the hotel description more evidently! It was so good to have these things! Loved the little attention to detail like picnic tables at the front and the jogging route map on the wall and the drinks fridge 24/7 and an umbrella loan stand. These are the things that make a hotel a home from home that cares! Overall you should be chuffed with yourselves- don’t let the corporate or aging with time let you loose this edge you have! Keep it fresh, keep being generous with facilities - you’re a breath of fresh air in a tired hotel world! "

"Although next to the forth bridge be mindful that most rooms that look out over the bridge are noisy. We had to upgrade to a better room as we are both very light sleepers and the noise from the traffic over the bridge was too noisy for us. On the whole the hotel food was good. Staff were most helpful and the location good. We got the train into Edinburgh from Queensferry north which is a 20 minute walk away from the hotel. Train into Edinburgh takes around 25 minutes. Would I go here again? I would but would go for a room without the view. "

"Really fab location, easy to get to and from Edinburgh centre. The staff kindly put up birthday banners and balloons in our room for my partners birthday- we were both chuffed! Only negative would be the breakfast, didn’t feel it was worth £20. When we came to breakfast there was unfortunately limited options left as there had been a karate tournament and that was disappointing as £20 we didn’t feel was worth the food. Overall would come back again! "

"It was a great stay, Holiday Inn location was very centrally located, easy access to public transport/ to city Centre/ Usher hall / airport. The breakfast buffet was a nice spread, for children there was pancake machine available. The bar too is reasonably priced. Had booked for 2 nights stay extended it by another day. Edinburgh Zoo is next door Taxi / Uber / Bolt easy access."
