"This was our second time staying at Brenda & Butch's gorgeous cabin perched above the South Fork Eel river. Previously we visited during the summer and staying for the New Years holiday was a drastically different but equally amazing experience! It had rained for days prior and the river was absolutely huge and such a sight to see, each day after the rain stopped we loved watching the river recede and expose rocks, trees and shoreline. We went on some beautiful hikes around the property finding mushrooms (lions mane!), signs of pigs, deer and other wildlife. It was so cozy in the cabin with the wood stove and sound of rain on the roof, just absolute heaven and the perfect place to get away from it all. Once again, my favorite aspect was no cell service and no wifi...in this day of constant connection being removed from it is truly the best vacation of all! Cannot recommend this cabin enough, the hosts are so gracious, warm and welcoming...we can't wait to come back!"

"Clean and beautiful property in the peaceful redwoods. Feeding time with the farm animals was a bonus that we all enjoyed. We hope to make it back in the summer to enjoy more of the outdoors. "

"The land is beautiful! We enjoyed paddle boarding and canoeing at the lake in the mornings and late afternoons, as well as going to the river to splash in the water. It was very relaxing to drink our coffee at the porch while watching the multiple birds, and going back at night to see the milkway in the clear sky. It is a working farm, and people live next door, so expect some noise and equipment running at times, but everyone was friendly and respectful. Diane is a very friendly host who was quick to help us with any questions or incidents. Thank you!"
