"We have stayed in :Colombo on many occasions, but always in hotels. For a change we decided to book an apartment in the same area. The Colombo Residency or Crescat residency as its know is in a prime area of Colombo along the Galle Road. Situated next to the Cinnamon Grande Hotel it is within minutes of the Crescat Mall with its shopping and Food Hall situated on the Lower level. "The hotel is a nice discovery and a modern interior with a heritage exterior. Even the parking is underground that takes your car on an elevator. I enjoyed the facilities except a few downs. One is they don’t have an iron in the room, even the one they brought on request didn’t work. The housekeeping was requested to do the cleaning towards the evening but they didn’t show up. We asked for two plates and cutleries, cutleries were clean but the plates looked as if they didn’t wash them....

"Perfect for the start of our holiday. Large apartment with everything needed to prepare own meals (we didn’t as eating out is very inexpensive) and close to a large supermarket. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We walked or used a tuk tuk to everywhere we wanted to visit. Recommended. "
